| Is it hard to install/setup an Electric Firebox? |

At its simplest level, setting up an electric firebox insert is easy. It really is just plug and play right out of the box. Most of our fireplaces (with the exception of the stone fireplaces) come full assembled and ready to have the insert installed. By installed I mean literally just slide it into place, plug it in, and turn it on.
Some people prefer the look of an electric fireplace that is permanently inserted into a wall. This kind of electric fireplace installation is slightly more difficult, because it requires cutting and installing drywall and creating a sturdy mount for the fireplace. You might also want to hire an electrician to hard wire the electric fireplace, which both increases the security of the wiring and eliminates an unsightly cord. Although this kind of electric fireplace installation is a bit more difficult than simply plugging a unit into a wall, it does have a rewarding appearance. If you like do it yourself projects, this is one that requires a minimal amount of craftsmanship.
